Despite being issued a United States visa last summer, Beenie Man has yet to perform at an event in the country since his work permit was revoked by the Embassy of the United States in Kingston over two years ago. As a result, the self-professed King of the Dancehall was unable to perform on BET’s 106 and Park alongside Trinidadian-American hip-hop megastar, Nicki Minaj as originally scheduled this past April. However, Beenie Man will now be able to perform at the first ever Groovin’ In The Park concert on July 1 at Roy Wilkins Park in the New York based borough of Queens.

Christopher Roberts announced that Beenie Man will be a headliner at his company’s upcoming event while expressing glee regarding the prominent deejay’s retrieval of his American work permit.
